For you as a fan, organiser resale means you’ll be buying from or selling to the event organiser, opening up more chances to get tickets to high-demand events. Organisers can list tickets as soon as there’s a new buyer, so you don’t always have to wait for last-minute resales or hope someone decides to sell.
At the same time, organisers can keep more of an eye on how their tickets are resold – helping keep things fair, safe, and transparent for everyone.
What does this mean for fans?
With organiser resale, buying and selling can feel a bit different – but we guide you every step of the way.
Faster access to tickets – more tickets can become available, even after an event sells out
Fair pricing – you’ll always see clear price ranges when buying or selling
More guidance when selling – we help you set a price that fits the event rules
When you’re selling, organisers may set a minimum price to protect the value of tickets. If that applies, you’ll see a ‘Min’ option when choosing your price.
You’ll also always see a clear price range when listing your ticket, usually between 80% and 120% of the original price. If your price is too low, we’ll let you know before you continue.

How does organiser resale work?
For some events, organisers can buy back and resell tickets through TicketSwap as soon as there’s a new buyer. This means you might be buying from or selling directly to the organiser, instead of another fan.
Instead of selling your ticket straight to someone else, you sell it to the organiser once a new buyer is found – and the organiser then passes the ticket on to that buyer.
We’ll always make this clear throughout your experience:
When buying, you’ll see these listed under ‘Resale tickets’ on the event page
When selling, you’ll see which organiser you’re selling your ticket back to
You’ll also be able to view the organiser’s terms and conditions and company details before completing your action, so you know exactly what to expect.
What about costs?
Costs for organiser resale work a bit differently, because they’re charged by, or in the name of the organiser, not by TicketSwap.
Selling to an organiser
If you’re selling your ticket:
You’ll pay organiser seller costs of 5% of your listing price per ticket
For shared resale events, any profit is split between you and the organiser – learn more on shared resale
You’ll always see the exact breakdown before confirming.
Buying from an organiser
If you’re buying a ticket:
The price you see already includes organiser costs and VAT
You’ll pay in the original seller’s currency
We’ll show the converted price in your preferred currency
