Receiving your payout after a sale
Nice, you found another fan to buy your ticket! If your event takes place in one of the following countries, you will receive your payout within 5 business days after you’ve sold your ticket:
Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, Croatia, Czechia, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom
For events in all other countries, the payout will be sent your way after the event has taken place. To see when your money will arrive in your account, you can always check Payouts in your account for the latest status updates.
Why is my payout arriving after the event?
Is your payout taking longer than expected? Don’t worry — there are a few situations where payouts are released after the event has taken place.
Here’s what might be happening:
Risk value limit (€800 threshold)
At TicketSwap, we work with a risk value system. This means we look at the total value of all tickets you’ve sold or listed for upcoming events.
If your cumulative sales for future events exceed €800, your payouts will automatically be released after the event.
This applies to:
All outstanding payments
Any new sales made while you’re above the limit
This policy helps us keep the platform safe for both buyers and sellers and is included in our platform conditions. Once the event has taken place, your payout will be processed automatically.
Escrowed or high-risk events
Some events — especially large events with very high demand or expensive tickets — carry a higher financial risk. In these cases, payouts for all sellers may be temporarily locked and released only after the event ends.
This helps us to prevent issues such as fraud or invalid tickets and make the platform safer for all our fans! If your event falls into this category, your payout will be sent automatically after the event has taken place.
Events in certain countries
In some countries, events are automatically placed in escrow. If your event takes place outside our standard payout countries mentioned above, you’ll receive your payout after the event has ended.
A case or dispute was started
If a buyer reports an issue and the payout has not yet been processed, the transaction will automatically be locked. Our dedicated Aftersales team will carefully review your case and work toward a fair solution for both parties.Until the case is resolved, the payout will remain on hold.
In all of these cases, your payout is safely reserved by our trusted payment provider Stripe and you'll receive it after the event. Receiving payouts after an event in some cases is part of the conditions you agreed to when signing up, as noted in our Terms & conditions.
