Late release tickets means event organisers only make your QR code for the tickets available shortly before the event begins. Now we support you being able to sell or buy these. Read on to see how it works!
For sellers
How do I list my ticket?
Just list your ticket like normal – we’ll handle the rest and guide you through the steps. You just need to transfer your tickets to the buyer’s email address once they’re sold.
When will my buyer get the ticket?
If your ticket is marked for late release, all you need to do is transfer the ticket to their email and we’ll make sure they confirm they’ve received it. 📧 After that, it’ll be delivered to the buyer automatically a few hours or days before the event by the organiser.
When will I get paid?
After the buyer has confirmed they received the transfer, you’ll get paid within 5 business days as you normally do. Essentially, the buyer just needs to confirm first before the payout can start, but otherwise the late release process doesn’t delay your payout.
For buyers
When will I get my ticket?
You’ll get your ticket transfer by email from the seller. Then as normal, you’ll get your full QR code on the ticket a few hours or days before the event starts – automatically from the event organiser or provider. We’ll send you a notification as soon as your transfer is available. No need to chase or contact the seller. We've got you covered! ✌️
How do I know it’s real?
All late release tickets are verified by TicketSwap and only sent to the email address you’ve provided. If anything goes wrong, our Support team is here to help and sort things out with you and the seller. You can always explore more of our FAQs or reach out to us here on the Help page.
Why the delay?
Some event organisers and ticket providers request late release to prevent fraud and duplicate ticket use. It also helps make sure each ticket is only used once – by you.
What’s the point of late release?
It generally helps protect against ticket misuse and ensures a smoother experience for all fans. Sometimes tickets aren’t available right away, but you can still sell or buy them with late release. We’ll walk you through every step. And don’t worry – we always verify the seller’s proof of purchase before anything moves forward.
Late release helps the events industry create a fairer, safer and more reliable marketplace overall, so fans can focus on what matters: the music, the vibes and the experience. Enjoy the show! 🪩
